‘ What is a war ? ’ Do you think you can answer this question accurately ? Yes , the literal meaning of this word is quite easy. Almost everyone can answer it in his or her own words. Yet, do you really understand what a war is ? Maybe you don’t, do you. Then , let’s recall a recent war, Iraq War. On March 20th 2003, America declared war on Iraq without any agreement from the United Nations. Although a lot of countries were against this war, they still couldn’t change Bush’s mind. Why did the US president want to attack this middle east country ? The answer was very clear. He wanted to control that area easily. But what did he say to the world ? ‘We are sure that there are a lot of weapons of mass destruction.’ So , the war started with this sham. Listen ! Not only Iraq , but also the whole world is full of the wail because of wars. Those poor people can’t stand such great agony brought by wars. Wars are ruining those innocent lives ! Let’s say a little prayer for those poor people. Perhaps this is the only thing we can do. And hope wars can disappear thoroughly in the world one day !
